You've probably been to paraglider spot where there's hundreds of paragliders and hanggliders up in the air. You think they know the basic of which side to pass on, which way to take a thermal, and so on, but you've got it wrong. There are allways some insane pilots that risks their own life and others by not following the rules.
The are some basic rules that paraglider pilots must follow:
In thermal conditions:
1. The paraglider who cirkulates a thermal first, decides which way the rest of the paragliders must turn.
2. A pilot that flyes above another paraglider must yield.
3. When two gliders meet, they both yield to the right.
In soaring conditions:
1. A passing glider must allways pass to the right. If this appear to be impossible it should just turn and then fly back.
2. A pilot that flyes above another paraglider must yield.
3. When to gliders meet, they both yield to the right.
These are some steps that should be followed, so that you wouldn't end in dangerous situations.
